YC (4306) has acquired approximately 19.92 million shares of ACHEM (1715) through its subsidiary, YC BVI, which is 100% owned by YC and based in the British Virgin Islands. The shares were purchased at an average price of NT$15.44 per share. YC explained that due to recent controversies surrounding the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant and the F-share storm, ACHEM's stock price has declined. Considering the annual dividend of NT$1.20 per share, the investment holds long-term value, prompting YC to increase its stake.
YC has long held more than a 40% stake in ACHEM. After this purchase, YC BVI’s holdings in ACHEM will total 5.13%, amounting to approximately 20.25 million shares. Combined with the parent company YC’s holding of 174 million shares (approximately 49.69% ownership), YC's overall stake in ACHEM will reach 54.82%. |
